Ultra - Yeast 250 mg 10 Bottles Powder and Solvent for Oral Suspension

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Ultra-Levura is a probiotic product containing the active ingredient Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745. It is presented as a powder for oral suspension (granules) in sachets/bottles, with a tutti-frutti flavor. It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhea of nonspecific origin and to prevent episodes of diarrhea caused by antibiotic treatment. It is used in both adults and children (from 2 years of age for the sachets/granules, and over 12 years of age for the capsules).

PRODUCT COMPOSITION

• Active ingredient: Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745, 250 mg per sachet.
• Excipients with known effect:
  • Lactose monohydrate ≈ 32.50 mg.
  • Fructose ≈ 471.90 mg.
  • Sorbitol (contained in tutti-frutti flavour) ≈ 0.1 mg.
• Other excipients: anhydrous colloidal silica, flavor/tutti-frutti.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Oral administration. Dissolve the powder from the sachet in a glass of water and swallow the suspension.
• Preferably before meals.
• Adults and adolescents (≥ 12 years): 1 sachet (250 mg) 1-2 times a day. Do not exceed 500 mg daily.
• Children from 2 years: 1 sachet (250 mg) per day.
• Consult your doctor if diarrhea persists for more than 2 days, if there is a high fever, blood in the stool, or dehydration.

WARNINGS

• Do not use if there is hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients, including yeast.
• Contraindicated in immunosuppressed patients or those with central venous catheters due to the risk of fungemia. It is also recommended to avoid opening sachets near these patients.
• The medicine contains lactose and fructose; it should not be used in people with hereditary problems of fructose or galactose intolerance or lactase deficiency.
• Do not mix with very hot foods or drinks (above 50°C), ice cream or alcohol, as these are living cells.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Use only under medical supervision, assessing the benefit/risk ratio.
• Store in the original container, protected from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
