In Farmacia Campoamor we carry out the following biolological determinations:

BIOLOGIC ANALYSIS

DETERMINATION OF BLOOD SUGAR (GLYCEMIA TEST)

Determination of blood sugar is realized through a device that measures glucose with test stripes. The test is carried out poking a finger of the pantien's hand with a needle to pull out a drop of blood. Blood is placed on the test stripe and the measuring device needs 3 seconds to give a result. To take a determination of blood sugar, the patient has to fast for at least 8 hourse before the test. Abnormal results are out of the range between 70 and 100 mg/dL, therefore normal results are inside this range.

DETERMINATION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL

The determination is carried out thourgh a test, realized poking a finger of the pantien's hand with a needle to pull out a few drops of blood. Blood is placed on the test stripe and the measuring device needs 3 minutes to give a result. The result has to be between 180 and 200 mg/dL or less.

BLOOD PRESSURE MEASURMENT

In Farmacia Campoamor we have to options to measure bood pressure: manual measurement with OMROM, an arm tensiometer, or with a last generation device by TECNO SERRA. These two options measure systolic and diastolic pressure and pulse. To take the measurement properly the patient has to rest for at least 5 minutes.

Farmacia Campoamor monitorizes and follows up blood pressure of those who require it.

ANTHROPOMETRY MEASUREMENTS

IN-BODY

In-body is a device that prermits to measure fat mass, water and muscular mass percentage. Measurment is very easy; it consists in standing barefoot on the device for a minute. It is a exhaustive measurement because it compares anthropometry measurments and nutritional parameters depending on age and sex. It also recommends physical activity depending on the shape of the patient. Thanks to this device it is possible to realize monitroing of the patient physical condition.
