More information

Batteril 900 is a product based on grapefruit seed extract and tea tree essential oil, useful to counteract the most common infections. The active ingredients contained are responsible for the antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiparasitic activity. The product is useful in cases of respiratory, digestive, urinary tract infections... indicated in tonsillitis, cystitis, vaginal candidiasis, flu and cold, among other types of infection. Properties of the active ingredients: Grapefruit Seeds: Acts favorably on the body's physiological reaction to infections. It acts against potentially harmful gram - and gram + bacteria, in addition to also acting against fungi and viruses. The principles contained in the seeds disintegrate the cytoplasmic membrane of the pathogenic cell, preventing its nutrition, which hinders the absorption of amino acids and consequently causes the death of the microorganism itself. Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree essential oil has a variety of activities: antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiprotozoal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Terpinen-4-ol is considered the main responsible for them, along with other constituents such as a-terpineol, a-terpinene. Antibacterial activity has been demonstrated against a wide spectrum of microorganisms for most of which the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values are less than or equal to 1% (v/v). Tea tree essential oil acts mainly as a bactericidal, although at low concentrations it can act as a bacteriostatic. Likewise, it has been described that various microorganisms associated with bacterial vaginosis are more susceptible to the action of tea tree essential oil than commensal symbiotic lactobacilli. Regarding the antifungal action, it shows activity against yeasts, dermatophytes and other filamentous fungi, with Candida albicans and other Candida sp being especially susceptible. with minimum fungicidal concentrations of between 0.12 and 1%.
